This friendly is played once year at home and the following in Glaisnock Valley B.C. and has been on the 'cards' since 1984.
In 2009 during his Presidency, Billy Nicol penned a poem celebrating the friendly between the two clubs.
He gave a recital to both sets of players at the 'apres' match celebrations.

The Hill and The Valley
The annual game played against the British Legion is usually played at Scotstounhill B.C. with each club taking turn to host the game.

The friendly was arranged after years of friendship between members of each club.
The Linthouse Game has been resurrected after many years. It was originally started by Dennis McLean of Scotstounhill and Tam Reid from Linthouse. The first name on the trophy was that of Linthouse although Scotstounhill got revenge and their name on the trophy in 2011. The 2012 game will not doubt be both competitive and sporting.
Middlesbrough are regular visitors to Clubs within the Clydebank District Bowling Association and will complete the full set of having played all CDBA Clubs when they play both Radnor Park and Scotstounhill during the 2012 season.
The Welsh game has been arranged via Stuart Anderson, a member at Glaisnock Valley but who now lives and plays in Wales. This game is being eagerly anticipated as a clash of the keltic nations, both on the Bowling Green and at the Bar !!
